NATG After Party: Draw a pony having a ball by Yoka-the-Changeling NATG After Party: Draw a pony having a ball by Yoka-the-Changeling
Newbie Artist Training Grounds II: After Party - draw a pony smiling or beaming/draw a pony having a ball.

Remake of my submittion for day 6 of Newbie Artist Training Grounds.

Well, it more like continuation. I desided not to edit previous work but draw a new one. My original intention was to try to copy a style of one artist I randomly stumbled upon on danbooru. But it was impossible for me to make it in one day, so I'm doing it now.

Result: kinda mixed. I'm definitely coping a big portion of his actiony style but when it was time to add some more particles and depth of field effects I realise that I don't really understanding what I'm doing and it can possible harm my drawing in the end. So I stoped there.

But I still very happy about it. It's probably my best pony drawing so far.

P.S.: Some particularly attentive watchers can observe that there is no Twi though she was in the original drawing. She teleported right before the impact. In other words she didn't fit the composition. In other word I was lazy to draw a third pony.

upd: After several days of working on it, uploading and watching it for several minutes I realized that I forgot to draw the cutie marks(!). *derp-derp*
upd2: fixed :3

That's impossibru! When I look on this art and compare it to your previous ones, I feel like something is missing. I mean, about 50 works or something like that. This is absolutelly different than your other works and it looks so amazing! I don't even know what to start with...
The angle you've used is very good. It adds a lot of motion to the art. Details like sand falling off Rainbow Dash's hooves and the ball you've made less ball-shaped add even more motion. I also love the wings.
Oh come on, I just love every pixel of this art!

Thanx :3
Here a couple of things to try to explain why is this work so much better that the others.
First: On the NATG was a "one day deathline". It was "limiting" for me. Also engaging but still. I can work on something for a several days or even weeks if needed.
Second: I drew before. I have some education on that. But I didn't draw for a long time. So, during the NATG I was kinda "resurrecting" my skills.
And third: This time I had an example of what I want to have in the end (works of the artist I found). And I'm usually better at trying to copy someone's style that to create something completely original. (I'm a changeling after all)
